Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Herun Health ("Herun," "we," "us"). They cover your use of herunhealth.com and any service we provide through it, including the waitlist, specialist matching, and specialist applications. By using the site or submitting a form, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. What Herun is, and what it isn't
Herun is a platform that helps women in Dallas–Fort Worth find independent wellness specialists. We provide introductions, information, and, in the future, booking and payment tools.
Herun does not provide healthcare. We are not a medical practice, clinic, therapy group, or provider of any clinical service. We do not give medical, psychological, nutritional, or health advice. Nothing on this site is a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Using Herun does not create a provider–patient or therapist–client relationship between you and Herun.
Every specialist you find through Herun is an independent practitioner, not our employee, agent, partner, or representative. They set their own rates, their own availability, and their own policies. They are solely responsible for the care they provide, for their own licensing and insurance, and for their own compliance with the law. Any agreement about services and payment is between you and that specialist. Herun is not a party to it.
In an emergency, call 911. Herun is not an emergency service and is not monitored around the clock. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, severe symptoms, or thoughts of harming yourself, call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
2. What "vetted" means
We use the word "vetted" to describe a specific process, not a guarantee. Before a specialist appears on Herun, we:
- Verify their credential with the state licensing board or national certifying body that governs their field, where one exists. Some categories on Herun — including doulas and lactation consultants — are not licensed by the State of Texas; for these we verify certification through the relevant certifying organization and confirm the credential is active.
- Obtain a criminal background check and a national sex offender registry search.
- Contact professional references.
- Review the specialist's profile before it goes live.
What this does not mean. Verification confirms that a credential exists and was active on the date we checked it. It is not an endorsement, a guarantee of competence, a warranty of any outcome, and not a promise that a specialist is the right fit for you. Credentials can lapse or be revoked after we verify them. We are not liable for the acts, omissions, advice, or conduct of any specialist.
You are responsible for making your own judgment about any specialist before engaging them, including confirming their current license status, asking about their experience with your situation, and confirming their fees and policies directly with them.
3. Pre-launch services and the waitlist
Herun has not launched. Joining the waitlist or requesting a match does not create any obligation on our part to provide a service by a particular date, to provide it at all, or to match you with a specialist in any specific category or location. Features described on this site, including booking, payments, messaging, and telehealth, are planned and may change, be delayed, or not be built.
Where we offer to introduce you to specialists before launch, we do so as a free service. We make no promise that a specialist will have availability, accept you as a client, or agree to any particular rate.
4. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 to use Herun. You agree to give us accurate information and to keep it current. If we give you account credentials, you are responsible for keeping them confidential and for activity that happens under your account.
5. Specialist applications and listings
If you apply as a specialist, you represent that all credentials, licenses, certifications, and references you provide are accurate and current, and that you hold professional liability insurance where your field requires it. You agree to tell us promptly if your license or certification lapses, is suspended, restricted, or revoked, or if you are subject to a disciplinary action or professional liability claim.
We may accept or decline any application at our discretion, and we may suspend or remove a specialist at any time, including if credentials cannot be verified, if a background check raises a concern, or if we receive credible reports of harm. Where a decision is based on a consumer report, we follow the process described in our Privacy Policy.
Fees, commission rates, and plan terms are set out separately in the specialist agreement you sign. Where those terms conflict with anything on the marketing pages of this site, the signed agreement controls.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Herun to harass, threaten, defraud, or impersonate anyone; to post false or misleading information about credentials or services; to scrape, copy, or resell our content or specialist information; to interfere with the operation or security of the site; or to violate any law. We may suspend access for any of these.
7. Content you submit
You keep ownership of anything you submit — profile text, reviews, messages. By submitting it, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and use it to operate and promote Herun. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to submit it, and for not including anyone else's confidential or health information without their permission.
We may remove content that violates these terms, but we don't pre-screen everything and we're not responsible for content others submit.
8. Our content
The Herun name, logo, site design, and written content belong to us and are protected by trademark and copyright law. You may not copy or use them without our written permission.
9. Disclaimers
THE SITE AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION ON IT IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY REGARDING THE QUALITY, SAFETY, LEGALITY, OR SUITABILITY OF ANY SPECIALIST OR ANY SERVICE THEY PROVIDE.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HERUN AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR ANY INTERACTION WITH A SPECIALIST, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Herun harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising out of your use of the site, your violation of these terms, your violation of any law, or, if you are a specialist, the services you provide to any client.
12. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of Herun will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.

13. Changes and termination
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and for material changes we'll notify people on our list by email. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or end access to the site at any time.
14. Everything else
If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any signed specialist agreement, are the entire agreement between us.
